Thanks to everyone who weighed in about the piece I wrote a couple of days ago about BzzAgent LLC. In particular, I'd like to thank Dave Balter, president of BzzAgent, for being willing to jump into the fray. I have respect for any organization that is willing to discuss the positive and negative sides of its business openly. From all of the commentary, I think you can see there are a lot of interesting sides to this issue. I can see how BzzAgent is trying to make what they are doing as up front as possible. I worry there may be other organizations who attempt to do the same kind of work but don't make that same effort. My final point is that, as Decent Marketers, it's up to us to make sure we're not deceiving consumers in any way, regardless of the marketing tool we use.
